about

Good music, slow boats, funny days, and sunny women. A trop-rock blend of islands, women, sailboats, beaches, tropics, friends, and summer fun. Jimmy Buffett, Zac Brown and Kenny Chesney will love it.

We call ourselves the Blue Island Beer Club but everybody else calls us Bruce and Colin, or Colin and Bruce. Fine. We met on a beach on Florida's west coast and discovered a mutual love for good music, slow boats, funny days and sunny women. And that's what this record is about.

In the olden days, we listened to Jimmy Buffett teaching us about the tropical lifestyle but now we can both say we have lived our own tropical lives and we are qualified to sing about them. Bruce escaped to Mumble Beach on the west coast of Florida years ago and Colin cruised the islands aboard his sailboat before becoming a dirt dweller again on the west coast of Florida where he writes and sings about his experiences.

The two voices and two acoustic guitars of previous albums have expanded into the sounds of a full band, but Colin and Bruce still play all the instruments and sing all the songs (with a little help from the JPF choir on one track - thanks all!).

So let us take you on a trip to Stocking Island, Mumble Beach, Crystal Lake, Eddie's Edgewater, and the Florida Keys!
